Handoff Guide

As you grow from Agent to Sales Manager to District and Regional Manager, your responsibilities shift.


This chart shows exactly who handles each step in the recruiting and onboarding process — so you know when to take the lead and when to pass the baton.

Sales Manager & Above – Licensing Responsibilities

In group text with new agent:

Tell them to let you know when they complete Chapter 2 of Xcel.

When they reach out after Chapter 2:

Tell them to next reach out once they complete Chapter 5 so you can help schedule their exam.

When they reach out after Chapter 5:

Send them the appropriate state licensing requirements link:
Xcel State Requirements

Direct them to the step in the guide for scheduling their state exam.

Tell them to let you know once they have scheduled it.

When they confirm their exam date:

Tell them to let you know when they pass.

Once they pass the exam:

Send them the same state requirements link above.

Direct them to the steps for fingerprinting and applying for their license.

Tell them to let you know when they officially have their license.

District Manager & Above – Contracting Responsibilities

Once agent confirms they have their license:

Fill out the New Agent Form again as a licensed agent.

This sends them:

Team Band link

Welcome call link

Email with contracting steps

Tell them to contact you when they have completed the background profile.

Once background profile is complete:

Confirm with contracting via the UniTrust chat bubble that the carrier profile is complete.

After confirmation from contracting:

Fill out the Ignite Form.

This sends them:

Link to schedule their 1-on-1 with Efron (included in text and email)

Launchpad program via email so they can start immediately.

Place in group chat with Efron
