Interview Process & Onboarding Guide

This page gives you everything you need to run interviews the right way — from the first conversation to getting your new agent fully onboarded. Follow this exactly so your recruits have a smooth start, and so we keep our process duplicatable.

Step 1: Run the Interview

Your job is to introduce the Rising Phoenix opportunity, set expectations, and qualify for culture and work ethic — not just “sell the role.”

Interview Script:

Your goal: make them feel comfortable, explain what we do, and make sure they’re a good fit before moving forward.

Step 2: Begin Onboarding Immediately

Stay on the phone through the entire process. Do not hang up until they’ve completed all steps for their status (licensed or unlicensed).

1. Add ICA

- From your calendar click Add ICA, or go to My Agency > Add New Agent

- Verify all information is correct: Legal name, Licensed or Unlicensed, Commission Level (70%)

- Click Add New Agent

- Redirect to ICA Report or go to Reporting Hub > ICA Report

2. Confirm ICA Signature

- You’ll get a text & email once it’s signed

- Stay on the phone while they complete it

Step 3: Get Them Logged In to UniTrust

- Have them go to www.MyUnitrust.com

- They enter their email → receive 4-digit PIN by email

- If no email: Check junk/spam/promotions (If incorrect email, use UniTrust chat bubble to update it)

- Once logged in: show where daily training is and explain the importance of staying plugged in

Step 4: Licensing (If Unlicensed)

- Have them register for Xcel Solutionspartners.xcelsolutions.com/unitrust25

Partner code: unitrust25

Select:

State > Get License

Line of Authority > Life

Package > State Life Pre-licensing

Create an account & pay

Give them their UFG number (found in ICA Report or UniTrust homepage bottom left)

⚠️ Do NOT move to the next step unless they are enrolled in Xcel or already licensed

Step 5: Submit New Agent Forms

Complete this form once they enroll in Xcel OR if you hire a licensed agent: https://risingphoenixfg.com/new-agent-form

This will auto-trigger a text and email to the agent.

Step 6: Group Text Intro (Sales Manager & Below)

Create a group chat with you, the new agent, and Efron (609) 786-0541 using the text template below.

Hey Efron, I want to introduce you to [First & Last Name]. They’re in [State] and are [Licensed / Not Licensed].


Enrolled in Xcel: [Yes / No].

[First Name], this is Efron, our Agency Owner — they're going to help you get through licensing, contracting, and set you up to start fast.

Welcome to the team!

Step 7: Stay Plugged In

Weekly Meetings:
